More book design projects in the works: I have been commissioned to design several forthcoming craft books that will be published by A&C Black in 2011–2012.
 
 
I have now a profile page on Craft Central Designers Network, which is an online gallery dedicated to showcasing designers supported by Craft Central.
 
 
Just finished hand-stitched typographic illustration for Motive Sounds, Carlisle/Bristol based independent record label.

Browsing Copy is a project by A Beautiful Design, aiming to make better use of unsold books. Designers are invited to use these rejected books as a canvas to express their creativity. Earlier this year I was invited to create work for Browsing Copy Series 02, I received my book in May and I am now working on an exciting project which combines my very favourite media: book design and handmade type!
 
All works will be exhibited later this year, more details and preview of new work coming nearer the time.

I was invited to give a talk about my work at DER TANK, leading creative agency in Tallinn, Estonia. I introduced my MA work and latest commissioned projects, and talked about my experience of being an independent designer versus industry-employed designer. Many thanks to everyone for their interest and involvement.
 
 
I am working on a new set of hand-stitched letterforms. 3D Alphabet is an experiment in handmade optical illusion, 26 letters stitched in black cotton thread. Full alphabet will be uploaded to project section very soon, special thanks to lovely people from Luma Creative for recent feature post on their blog.

I am currently working on a new book design commission. ‘Visions of Architecture’ by Stephen Lees will be published by A&C Black in 2011.

My illustration Error-Proof will be on show at WORDPLAY exhibition. WORDPLAY features the work of over 200 contemporary designers, illustrators, artists and typographers who created lettering for ON LANGUAGE column in the New York Times Magazine.

My work is on show at Fedrigoni London showroom, Clerkenwell as part of a collective illustration exhibition SPRUNG. The exhibition is organised by Jotta, the creative community from the University of the Arts London, and is open from April 1st to April 30th in Fedrigoni UK, 5th Floor Diamond House, 36–38 Hatton Garden, London EC1N 8EB.

Each month lovely people from multidisciplinary art and design collective ContainerPlus run creative sessions with two invited guests. In March, designer/illustrator Guy Warley and I visited ContainerPlus studio to show our work. An inspiring evening with cake & chat!

GAARN – The Magazine for Sewing Culture, is a Diploma project of Damaris Jakschik, Visual Communication student at Bauhaus-University Weimar, Germany. GAARN deals with the world of needlework and textile design in a new way and showcases trends of the modern handcraft. Take a look at the beautifully designed magazine here.

I have designed Christmas window graphics for Apostrophe, the boulangerie-patisserie group in London. My design will be displayed in the window of their Grosvenor St branch from 30 November to 10 January.

The issue No2 of Archimedes magazine has been published. I was commissioned to art direct the publication, and I designed and illustrated the first two issues. Focusing on youth unemployment in Estonia, issue No 2 includes articles, research and case studies, written by social scientists and youth work practitioners. More about the work here.

Last book in the series of Tänapäeva noorsooromaan (series for young adult readers) has been published. Mustlasplikad (Gipsy Girls) by Ketlin Priilinn is a short story about three girls adventures in London.
